True North Aid is setting up special project donation portals on their website. The link will be posted here very soon as well as emailed out to our fundraiser mailing list. Please sign up so we can list your business or group on our fundraisers page and get all of our future updates.

Businesses are reminded this is a fantastic opportunity to introduce some enthusiasm and cohesive effort into their fibre art communities. Group knit ins or yarn sales are a fantastic opportunity to kick off your campaign! That said, this remains an effort in support of making a difference, so your efforts must be focused on that view. Some basic guidelines to keep your fundraising sales and events synced with Hearts & Hands intent have been provided below. These must be followed in order to remain listed as a partner and receive the recognition you deserve on social media.
Specific Product Donation: when promoting the product you must clearly specify the product/items (specific yarn, pattern, etc.) and the portion of proceeds that will be donated to True North Aid. For specific products, a minimum of 20% of applicable sales must be donated to True North Aid. It is understood charity work can be difficult for small businesses, consider offering a limited number of products to ensure your contribution will be manageable and comfortable for your business. You must make your donation to the True North Aid donation portal (which will be posted here shortly) no later than the last day of each month for the duration of your fundraising.
Overall Donation: when promoting you must clearly specify the product/items in your shop it applies to (all indie dyed yarns, notions and patterns for example) and the portion of proceeds that will be donated to True North Aid. For an overall donation, a minimum of 10% of applicable sales must be donated to True North Aid. You must make your donation to the True North Aid donation portal (which will be posted here shortly) no later than the last day of each month for the duration of your fundraising.
Collection Champions: if you are volunteering to gather donations as a collection champion, be aware that you are taking responsibility to ship the donated items to the point of contact in Sioux Lookout. Your mailing costs will not be covered or reimbursed.
