As we approach fall here on the west coast, we're getting ready for the rainy season... and this yarn is pretty well aligned with that theme. Rainy Oil Slick was inspired by the rainbow oil slicks in rainy puddles and pools that gather on the roads after a long stretch of dry weather. This colour path is a vibrant cyan, magenta and yellow rainbow nestled in concrete and asphalt grey undertones. The effect is a subtle, flowing colour transition between layers of jewel tones colours mingling with tones and shades of dark to create the sheen and luminescence of oil slicks on rainy night roads. Rainy Oil Slick is currently available in multiple fingering weights and worsted weight, click my link in bio to browse the skeins. #subcultureyarn #handdyedyarn #handpaintedyarn #canadianyarn
Fingering Weight – Superwash Merino Wool (single ply) is a delicate fingering weight yarn that is light, fluffy and airy soft next to the skin. The singly ply yarn has great shine and colours strike extra vibrant for saturated colourways. The single ply of this yarn makes for a light and cloud like finished fabric, perfect for light summer shawls and light sweaters. Because it is single ply, this yarn is not recommended for socks and will not wear as robustly as 3 ply fingering weight yarns.
